The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (the CRTC), the federal body responsible for regulating your telephone service, offers you this guide to help you to understand your rights with respect to local home phone services regulated by the CRTC.

Internet Acceptable Use

Bell Aliant is committed to being a responsible network citizen. To assist us in protecting the usefulness and enjoyment of the Internet for our members and for other users, we advise you read the following document outlining our policies on network abuse. The activities described below constitute violations of the Bell Aliant Service Agreements that may result in the loss of your service.

Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services (CCTS)

CCTS is an agency independent of the telecommunications industry, whose mandate is to resolve complaints of individual and small business retail customers about their telecommunications services. If you have a complaint about your services, including local or long distance telephone service, wireless telephone service, or Internet service, you must first try to resolve it directly with your service provider. If you have done so and have been unable to reach a satisfactory resolution, CCTS may be able to help you, free of charge.
